Turn the folded shirt

Turn the folded shirt so that the front faces upward. Check that the placket remains centred and that the collar is not bent. If necessary, use very light pressure to remove a small surface fold.

Store it without crushing the collar

Allow the shirt to cool and dry completely before placing it in a drawer, on a shelf or in luggage. Avoid putting a heavy garment directly on the collar.

• Keep the folded shirt in a clean, dry space.
• Do not compress several shirts tightly together.
• Place heavier garments beneath or away from the collar area.
• For travel, position the shirt near the top of the suitcase.

When to hang instead

Hang the shirt when it will be worn soon or when the fabric creases easily. Use a hanger wide enough to support the shoulders without stretching them.
